Hi y’all, I’m Elvis!
I’ve been here at the shelter for the entire summer, waiting patiently and hoping that my forever family will be here soon to take me HOME! I get so excited when new people come to visit, because EVERY time, I think “THIS time, they’re coming for me!” But they pass me by, in favor of a smaller, or cuter dog, and each day, my heart aches, as my sadness grows.
I have lots of time to think as I wait in my kennel, so I’ve tried to find ways to make people like me… I greet them with a lot of enthusiasm, wagging my tail and giving them kisses - but only if they ask. (I think it’s impolite to kiss someone if they don’t ask).
The shelter people are very nice, but they have so many dogs coming and going, that they don’t have a lot of time to give me the love and snuggles that I’m so desperately longing for.
They say that I’m happy, clownish, VERY sweet and cuddly! (I don’t know if they mentioned it, but I also love belly rubs!) I enjoy playing with other dogs, but I’d be just as happy to have my new human(s) all to myself. I am 3 years old, and I weigh about 55lbs.
My shelter friends also said to tell you that I’m housetrained, crate trained, perfect on a leash, and VERY intelligent! As you can see from my photos I’m in great shape! (I don’t like to brag, so I’m glad they said those things.)
Please, can you help me find my forever family? I’ve watched so many of my canine friends come to the shelter and then only one or two weeks later, walk out the door on their way to a new, and happier life. I’ve been here for months and everyone says I’m SUCH A GOOD BOY… so I can’t help wondering, WHY NOT ME?

This sweet boy was found wandering the streets of South Carolina with his canine friend, hungry, looking for some food and some kindness. He is now here in NH, waiting and hoping for his forever family to come and take him HOME!
