My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Introducing Billie, the chihuahua with a heart of gold and a cautious demeanor that adds to her charm! This pint-sized pup is an all-sound good canine citizen who is looking for a patient and understanding forever home.

Billie may take a minute to warm up to you, but once she does, you'll witness the true beauty of her personality. This sweet little chihuahua has a heart full of love and loyalty, and she's eager to form a deep bond with a special someone who appreciates her unique spirit.

With Billie, it's all about building trust. She comes from a background where she may not have received the socialization she needed, which can make her a bit hesitant around new people and situations. But don't let that discourage you! Billie has incredible potential, with the right family, she will blossom into the most devoted and loving companion.

Billie is searching for a forever home that understands her need for a slow introduction and can provide her with a calm and patient environment. She thrives in a predictable routine and benefits from positive reinforcement-based training that helps boost her confidence. A family with experience in working with shy or timid dogs would be ideal for Billie, as they can provide her with the guidance and support she needs to feel secure.

Billie would do best in a home without young children, as their fast movements and high energy levels may overwhelm her. However, she gets along well with other dogs and must have a confident and well-socialized canine companion to show her the ropes. A furry friend can also help her come out of her shell and feel more at ease in new situations.

Once Billie trusts you, she will shower you with affection and loyalty like no other. She loves cozying up on laps and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Her calm and gentle nature makes her an excellent companion for those looking for a furry friend to snuggle up with while reading a book or watching a movie.

Billie's journey to finding her forever home has taught her the value of patience, love, and understanding. If you're ready to open your heart to this little chihuahua and provide her with the stability and patience she needs, please fill out our application here. Together, let's give Billie the chance to shine and show the world just how amazing she truly is. Don't miss out on the opportunity to make a difference in Billie's life - she's waiting to warm your heart and become your most loyal companion.

Additional adoption info

We do our best to get back to every potential applicant but at times we are only able to get back to the strongest applicant. We are a team of volunteers who work full time jobs and do rescue on the side.

Go meet their pets

Most of our fosters are in the San Bernardino area. Our pups are fostered in private homes so appointments must be set up prior to visiting.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends with a heart and passion for animals, especially dogs. We are drawn to the ones with the sad stories so that we can rewrite their stories and make them happy.
Each of our dogs will be fully vetted (spay/neuter), vaccines and microchip.
An in person home check is required.
