What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Dozer is the happiest ray of sunshine you will meet. He is very loyal and loves to follow ‘his human’ around like a shadow, whoever that is. He has separation anxiety so he doesn’t react well when put in a kennel/cage or behind a baby gate. If put in a kennel, he tends to bark non-stop and/or rub the top of his nose raw. He is very well behaved and potty trained so leaving him loose in your home while you are out should be no issue. For the 8+ years he has been with us there have been 1-3 other dogs in the home so he does best with a dog companion. He hasn't had much exposure to cats so it's unknown how he would do with one in the home. He can be very timid/scared when first meeting new people (especially men). After a proper introduction though they will be his new favorite person. He absolutely loves neck scratches and playing fetch with frisbees/rings.
I would have loved to spend the rest of his life with him but due to my health, finances, and living situation I cannot.
