Tommy is a 7 year old American Pitbull Terrier. He is a loving dog that is eager to be a good boy for the right family. He loves people and gets along well with them. He knows commands such as Sit, Stay, Come, and Go Lay Down. Tommy is also potty trained. His favorite things are going for car rides, walks, and rolling in the grass. He dislikes fireworks and thunderstorms. An ideal home for Tommy is one where there are no cats since he is cat reactive, and with an experienced dog owner who is often home.

Tommy does have a growth that is a fatty tumor on his left back leg (shown in the 3rd photo). He is up to date on all his vaccinations.

Additional adoption info

An approved application, vet reference, personal reference check and home visit are required to finalize an adoption. We suggest a $200 donation that helps offset some of our expenses such as feeding, boarding, training, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and miscellaneous veterinary costs.
Adoption fees are used to continue to help homeless animals in need!

We are a rescue that is dependent on volunteers as we do not have a physical building. We rent space at a kennel in Upperco, Md. If you would like to meet one of our dogs please contact us to make arrangements. Thanks!

Adopt a Homeless Animal Rescue (AAHA) is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and assisting animals in crisis. We actively combat animal cruelty in any form.

We have a particular commitment to pit bulls and aim to raise awareness about the breed, help those in need, and educate the public:
•We seek to promote this lovely yet unfairly maligned breed as the sweet, intelligent, affectionate, and people-oriented dogs they are.
