Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pepper road to being rescued was paved with heartbreak.
Pepper story started when she arrived at the shelter as a stray with another dog named, Jillian. While we don’t exactly know what Pepper and Jillian’s relationship was, we have a strong hunch they were sisters. They looked alike, they acted alike and most of all, loved each other like sisters do. They were even commonly seen cuddling and comforting each other in their kennel.
Sadly, Jillian unexpectedly passed away in her kennel one night. Pepper stayed by her side for hours, alone, until they were discovered the following morning. Pepper's heart was shattered. Without her sister by her side, Pepper became depressed, defensive and was deemed “unadoptable”. She was scheduled to be euthanized. We heard her story, and we couldn't let that be the end of her road. The moment we met Wraven, we promised to do all we could to heal her broken heart. And since that day, she has become a completely different dog with a whole new lease on life.
Pepper has been staying with a foster since she was saved from the shelter. Amazingly, the home is not just any old foster home - it’s a foster farm! She’s been living on a farm with (big + small) dogs, cats, chickens, birds and tortoises. Pepper spends her days running around the acres of land, (playfully) chasing chickens, making neat nests with her (many) toys/treats and of course lots of napping. Wraven’s heart is whole again, and we just know her sister Jillian is looking down smiling.
Pepper has overcome heartbreaking obstacles. Now that her heart has healed, she is ready for someone to open their own heart for her. Her adoption fee includes her completed veterinary exams, dental, spay, vaccines and microchip. She'll steal your heart in no time.
