My name is Mocha!

Meet the darling Mocha! She is a 5-year-old, 17 pound, ShihTzu mix) She has
a black Shih Tzu like coat and will require regular professional grooming.
Mocha is used to having a human companion at home with her. Mocha and Heart
were surrendered together. She is shy and will need a little patience to get
used to a new living situation. She is VERY treat motivated and that should
make her transition easier. She gets along well with other dogs and cats!
She would be a welcome addition to an Adult Only home. She has been around
children but because of shy nature she would do best in an adult home. She
will need leash training. She is housebroken and used to being let in and
out regularly. She will use Potty Pads when necessary. Here at the
sanctuary, we use the command "go potty" before we take the dogs outside to
do their business. Mocha is happy to comply. This is a good routine to
establish at home. Once Mocha is used to you, she is very playful. She
loves to dance around on her hind legs. She knows the commands: Sit, Stay
and Come. She is spayed but we are looking for her home now. She is
current on her vaccination and microchipped. Are you ready for a new love?

What is included

In adoption fee for dogs

Spayed or neutered.



Nobivac Canine 1-DAPPv – Vaccination against canine distemper, adenovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and parvovirus. (3 to 4 depending on how long we have them)



Rabies vaccination (if old enough).



De-wormed, Front-lined and Micro-chipped.



A free baby-well exam certificate that most vets will honor.



One week of dry dog or cat food.



One toy and one blanket.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.



2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.
