To make the adoption process faster and easier, please visit www.almosthomeohio.org and complete our online application!

Sassy is 2 yrs old

Sassy is a handsome boy who spent his entire life outdoors until recently. Initially reserved and cautious around new people, he quickly warms up once comfortable. His foster family is helping him adjust to indoor life, teaching him commands like "go to bed" and "sit." Sassy enjoys playing with toys and observing household activities from a distance. He eagerly cuddles when the house settles down, showing his affectionate nature.

Having lived with other dogs, Sassy is curious when meeting new ones and adapts based on their cues. He also gets along well with cats. Outside, he happily plays in the yard and tries to engage other dogs in games. Sassy recently experienced his first professional grooming session, where he behaved perfectly and loved the attention. He has adapted well to indoor living and enjoys the warmth and kindness of his foster family. A fenced yard is required for his forever home."

the adoption fee for Sassy is $450

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs please go directly to www.almosthomeohio.org for an application. Once the application is submitted, our adoption team can discuss the information on the application with you to determine if one of our dogs would be a good fit for your home. Lastly, a home visit will be done either by one of our volunteers or another reputable rescue volunteer in your area. We do adopt out of state, but it is up to the adopter to come meet and take the dog home. Sound like a lot to go through for a dog? It really isn't as complicated as it seems and it's the best way to ensure a good match. Please contact adoptions@almosthomeohio.org with any additional questions you may have after reviewing the information on our website.

More about this rescue

Almost Home Dog Rescue of Ohio is made up of a small (but growing) group of enthusiastic volunteers who want to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs. Our background is with purebred collies and collie mixes but on occasion, we have other "family friendly" breeds. If you are searching for a collie, we'd like to help you find a wonderful companion that fits your family's lifestyle. All of our dogs are fully vaccinated and are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They have also been tested and are negative for heartworm and are on heartworm preventative.
