Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Millie is a 2 year old, 12 pound Maltese mix. She has long legs like a Poodle, so maybe that's part of her family tree. Millie ended up at animal control in the Atlanta area. At that time, she was thin, loaded with fleas and had a skin infection from all her flea bites. To make things worse, Millie also had heartworms. We think Millie was kept outside, maybe in a yard or on a tie-out to get into such rough shape.
Since that time, Millie has gained weight, lost the fleas and skin infection. She has been vaccinated, spayed and treated for heartworms. Millie's adoption fee is $250. She needs a month of inactivity as a followup to her treatment. Millie is very insecure and really wants to be close to you at all times. She will sleep in bed with you or on her own doggie bed on the floor.
Millie needs an experienced adopter who will enforce her quiet time and also get her housebroken. Millie had only lived outside before, and needs to brush up on her housetraining .
If you are interested in adopting Millie, please write to us at PricelessPoochRescue@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt Millie. We'll send it out to you and once you return it, we'll contact you about meeting Millie in person. Millie lives in a foster home in Hayesville, NC, but she can meet you in the Atlanta area or somewhere in between.
