My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lucy is a 7 year old, 10 pound female Shih Tzu. She lost her elderly owner, and no one in the family could keep her. We've had Lucy for almost two weeks and she is a darling, sweet doggie who loves to cuddle and be held.

Lucy gets along with the other dogs in her foster family, but really likes her human foster parents best. She is house trained and crate trained.

Lucy had a scare when she was spayed. She had a large lump in her uterus, but when she was spayed, that took care of it. The lump was sent out for analysis and the conclusion was that spaying was "curative". Lucy can get on with the rest of her life now.

Lucy has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and tested negative for heartworms. Her adoption fee is $250.

We are a foster home based rescue in Hayesville, North Carolina which is about 2 hours' drive to either Atlanta, Asheville or Chattanooga. We often meet adopters mid-way to facilitate adoptions.
