Quiet, gentle, and incredibly sweet — Tweety Bird has spent almost her entire life waiting in the shelter for someone to finally see her.
Tweety is a shy girl who feels safest curled up on a cozy cat shelf or tucked into a cubby with one of her feline friends. She loves a good sunbeam and can often be found soaking up the warmth while keeping a watchful eye on the world around her. She’s curious about what you’re doing… just from a comfortable distance at first.
One of Tweety’s eyes looks a little different due to scarring from an infection she had as a kitten. It doesn’t affect her vision at all, requires no treatment, and is simply part of what makes her her.
While she may never be a bold, in-your-face cuddle bug, Tweety truly shines once she feels safe. When she knows and trusts you, she enjoys gentle cheek and head pets and being near her people. All she needs is a patient, loving home that will let her go at her own pace.
Tweety recently had all of her teeth removed due to dental disease — and it was life-changing for her in the best way. She feels so much better now and eats great (yes, even crunchy dry food!).
Tweety Bird is our longest-resident cat, and she has been overlooked for far too long simply because she’s quiet and nervous in the shelter environment. She would do best in a calm home with a kind human who understands that love doesn’t always arrive loudly. Tweety also prefers having another cat friend and would be happiest with a feline companion.
She’s waited so patiently for her chance.
Will you be the one to finally give Tweety Bird the home she’s been hoping for?
