Tweety Bird is shy, but sweet. She’s lived almost her entire life in the shelter. Sadly, she gets overlooked because she’s nervous, shy and one of her eyes looks a little funny- it’s just some scarring from an infection she had as a kitten. She can see just fine and no treatment is needed.
Tweety can usually be found curled up on a cat shelf or in a cat cubby with one of her cat friends. She loves to sunbathe too!
While she may never be a big cuddle bug, we’re sure she would gain confidence in a loving home. She’s interested in what you’re doing, just from a safe distance. Once she knows you, she enjoys gentle cheek and head pets. She recently had to have all her teeth removed due to dental disease, but the good news is it made her feel so much better and she eats just fine - even dry, crunchy food!
Tweety Bird is our longest resident and has been at the shelter for too long. We would love to find her a home with a patient human who will go slow with her and finally give her the home she’s been waiting so long for. If you have a cat who needs a friend, Tweety does prefer feline friends.
Won’t you give her a chance?
