Roadie is a beautiful girl who has come such a long way. She got her name after a Good Samaritan found her in the road — either after falling from or being thrown from a car. Despite such a scary start, Roadie survived with no lasting physical limitations. She has a healed degloved lip and is missing part of a toe, neither of which slow her down or affect her quality of life.
What Roadie needed most wasn’t medical care — it was time, patience, and kindness.
At first, Roadie struggled to trust humans, even though she clearly wanted affection. With the help of her amazing foster family, she’s made incredible progress and continues to gain confidence every day. She actually warms up to new people faster than you might expect — especially if you come bearing the good bribes (Churu lovers, take note).
Roadie loves other cats and truly thrives with a well-mannered feline friend. She would do best in a home with another calm, friendly cat to help her feel secure. She also does well with calm, respectful dogs. You’ll often find Roadie perched on a windowsill, happily watching birds and wildlife, or indulging in one of her guilty pleasures: cat game videos on YouTube.
Roadie is one of our top three longest-resident cats, and she has been patiently waiting for someone to give her the chance she deserves. She’s ready for a loving home where she can continue to blossom and finally have a place of her own.
If you’re willing to give Roadie that chance, please fill out an application to meet her. She’s been waiting just for you. 🐾💛
