My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To Whom It May Concern,
Thank you for taking the time to review my credentials. I would like to apply for a full-time position as your Professional Live-In Gal Pal! As you will see on my resume, I have 3 years worth of experience as a Professional Lap Dog. Specifically, I excel at sitting and leaning on my favorite humans (I am convinced that I am small and no one can tell me otherwise). I would describe myself as fiercely loyal and a fast learner, with my biggest weakness being that I strive to perform my job as your companion to perfection (which I always do!). In my free time I like to stay fit with walks and playing fetch, which I will always beat you at. I would love to work together... and I hope you would too!

*Good news - my adoption fee is sponsored! Now it's even easier to take me home!*

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

When you adopt an animal, you’re not just saving the life of the animal you adopted. You’re also opening up space for the next animal in need. Our goal at the Morris Animal Refuge is to approach the adoption process holistically to make the best matches for our adopters and for our animals.

We are no longer requiring appointments or pre-approvals to adopt! Visit our shelter (1242 Lombard St) or PetSmart Adoption Center (2360 Oregon Ave.) during the following hours to adopt your new best friend. We will process your information at the time of adoption and in most cases your animal can go home with you on the same day.

Wednesday: 11-7

2360 Oregon Ave. Adoption Hours*

More about this shelter

The Morris Animal Refuge is a 501(c)(3) shelter dedicated to helping the homeless, abandoned and unwanted pets of the Philadelphia region. Founded in 1874 by Elizabeth Morris, we were the first organization dedicated to sheltering and rehoming pets, and continue that legacy today by providing adoptions, a low-cost spay/neuter program, fostering, humane education and more.
