My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was found in May of 2012 across from Nicky's Mexican restaurant. I was in bad shape as I had a collar deeply embedded into my neck. The nice people here at Natchitoches Hope for Paws took good care of me to heal my wounds and have given me a safe and loving place to live! I am the cutest boy! I bark with excitement for you take me out to play with my dog buddies or put me on the leash for a walk. I love spending time out and about! Please consider letting me be your new companion today; you'll love me.

More about this rescue

FAUNA is the newly combined animal rescue organization serving Natchitoches Parish. Members of Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws have voted to join efforts and work together alongside parish and city officials to help Natchitoches become a low/no-kill community.

Our mission is to provide and promote humane treatment for homeless and neglected animals in need, working together with the community to find them caring homes. Striving to be a low-kill community, we will provide programs and services to create a society of responsible pet owners. As animal advocates we will be a voice for those creatures who cannot speak for themselves.
