My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ms. Starla! She was brought in as a stray from Tellico Plains, she is 2 years old and 44 lbs.
Starla was very scared when she came into the shelter, but she has been able to relax with the love and kindness of the staff and volunteers.
Starla is very beautiful and has such a sweet disposition about her. We would like for her to find a loving family soon to help her leave her shelter life behind.
Her adoption fee is $100.
Call us at 423.442.1015 or email us to set up a meet and greet with Starla.

More about this shelter

Concern over a large, and ever increasing, population of homeless dogs and cats, instigated the opening of the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the shelter by providing volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
