My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Donut - Your New Best Friend!

Are you looking for a loyal companion to fill your life with love and joy? Look no further than Donut, our delightful 10-year-old (though she certainly doesn't act like it!) terrier mix with a heart full of love and endless enthusiasm. Donut may not have been able to enjoy all the sweet things in life, but now she's ready to sprinkle your world with happiness!

Playtime Enthusiast
Donut may have a few years under her collar, but you'd never guess it by her boundless energy! She's a ball-chasing pro and would make an ideal playmate for an active family or individual. She's always up for a game of fetch and will happily keep you on your toes.

Super Sniffer Sensation
With a nose that could rival a bloodhound's, Donut is an expert sniffer! She loves exploring new scents during leisurely walks and adventures. Expect her to help you discover hidden treasures on your daily strolls.

Food Motivated and Quick Learner
Donut is a foodie at heart, making training a breeze. She's eager to please and learns new commands with lightning speed. With a few tasty treats and a little patience, she'll have all the basic commands down in no time.

Budding Socialite
Donut is excited to make furry friends, but she's still learning the art of canine socialization. With a bit more practice, she'll become a pro at hanging out with her fellow dogs. So, if you're looking to expand your pup's social circle, Donut is up for the challenge!

No Small Animals, Please
Due to her prey drive, we recommend that Donut finds a loving home without cats or small animals. She's a sweet girl who wants to ensure everyone's safety and happiness.

House and Crate Trained
Donut is already house and crate trained, which means she's well-behaved indoors and is comfortable in her crate when needed. Your home will stay clean and orderly with Donut around!

Donut is the perfect mix of spunk and sweetness. She's looking for a loving family or individual who can appreciate her zest for life and provide her with all the love and care she deserves. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this delightful terrier mix, contact us today to meet Donut. Together, you'll create a lifetime of cherished memories and adventures!

More about this rescue

Live Love Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) registered nonprofit organization that rescues homeless animals by providing them the necessary medical care, allowing for physical and emotional rehabilitation, finding them their perfect forever homes, and showering them with love throughout their journey with us.

Some of our rescue highlights from 2016: Bravey the Chihuahua "braved" a house fire with second degree burns on her back and side. Bravey had multiple laser treatments to speed up her healing, months of bandage changes and antibiotics while the burns healed. She is now all better and adopted to her forever home. Raquel the Min Pin was severely neglected and surrendered during our #fosterthe4th event at Long Beach Animal Care Services. After months of getting her well again, she too has found a loving lifetime family! Buster the Terrier Mix was hours away from euthanization. His behavioral issues are fear based and very workable with rehabilitation. Buster is continuing his training programs thanks to the funds made available by our rescue and his committed foster mom. And these are just a few of the furry ones we've had the opportunity of helping heal.

None of what we do would be possible without our network of fabulous Foster Homes. Fosters provide the safe space and daily care for our rescue pets to heal. They are the link between homeless and unhealthy to healthy and adopted for the precious souls we take in. Fostering is truly the most important part of rescue. If you're interested in opening your home to a foster pet that fits with your pack, please email us foster@liveloveanimalrescue.org.

In addition to generous donations from members of the community, Live Love Animal Rescue is also supported by our venture, Live Love Pet Care, where "With every pet care service you order, Live Love helps an animal in need." We are a social enterprise that believes in business for good, in allowing our clients to be our benefactors, and in evolving the seemingly separate pet care and animal rescue industries into one. "Live to Rescue. Love to Care.™"
