My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Copper! Yep, I'm a hound mix breed so I like to howl and bark at everything and everyone. SHS is still learning about me, but I like to run around in the play yards barking at things that pass, I enjoy doing my own thing, and ignoring my human friends. SHS can't tell if I don't know my name or if I just don't like following directions. I'm a good boy looking for a forever family, I can't wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

Since 1897, the Spokane Humane Society has extended the hand of kindness to stray and unwanted animals in the greater Spokane Area. The Society shelters and cares for companion animals, transfers stray animals from animal control when they are out of space, operates a low-income spay and neuter clinic and educates the public about humane issues and responsible pet care.
