My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ziggy!

Ziggy isn’t just any senior kitty, he’s a staff favorite, a handsome gentleman, and a 2011 AFRP alumni returning for round two of love and cuddles. Now looking for his next “bachelor pad,” this big, charming grump is searching for a calm, adult-only home where he can do life on his terms.

Ziggy loves affection… in carefully measured doses. Petting? Yes, but don’t overdo it. Playtime? Only when he feels like it. Most of the day, he prefers napping, lounging on his cat tower, or quietly judging the world from his favorite window or catio. He’s a bird-watching pro and a toy-chase enthusiast—but mostly he’s an expert in chill vibes.

Other pets? Meh. Ziggy prefers to be your one and only, though he might tolerate a mellow cat or dog if introductions are slow and respectful. His diet is specialized due to allergies, but that doesn’t slow him down, meal time is basically the highlight of his day, and he approaches it with the intensity of a tiny furry foodie.

Ziggy is basically a mix of grumpy dad energy, high-class loaf vibes, and subtle sass. Adopt (or foster) him if you want a senior cat who will demand respect and reward your patience with endless charm… on his schedule.

Ziggy is currently in a loving foster home. A meet and greet can be scheduled once an online application has been submitted and approved by AFRP staff. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org to fill one out today!

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
