My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nelson here!

My new adoptive family will need to be ready to provide a lot of training which my friends at FOHA will help to coordinate at time of adoption. I can be unpredictable so I am looking for a family with no kids 15 and under.

Look deep into my different colored eyes - then get me a ball! I LOVE to play fetch! The second I see a ball or hear you say the word, I'm ready to play. I know how to fetch and I'll bring the ball right back to you and drop it at your feet. I also love water and getting sprayed with a hose!

I've been lucky to join doggy social here at FOHA and I have enjoyed playing with other dogs. I love going for walks as I get to know the volunteers and they get to know me. As much as I like new dogs I am not comfortable around a lot of new people. So I would not do well in a dog park or doggie daycare.

I'll go ahead and say it, I'm extremely smart. I'm looking for an active family that will put my intelligence to good use. I would love to have a huge fenced in backyard to chase my ball until my heart is content. Apartments and condos will not be a good fit for me.

If you would like to come meet me, submit an application and we can set up a time to get to know each other. See you soon!!

I am looking for a home with no kids, no cats, house with a large backyard, and an experienced owner willing to work on training.
