My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

https://foha.org/pet/buddy2021-3/

ABOUT THIS ANIMAL:
Hi, I’m Buddy — and yes, I really live up to my name! I’m a loving, loyal companion who’s built a solid fan club at FOHA thanks to my affectionate personality, playful spirit, and smart mind. I love giving hugs and kisses, know several commands, and am great on leash. After a fun session of fetch or pushing around my jolly ball, I’m more than ready to curl up next to you for a well-deserved nap.

I’m also pretty polite — I don’t bark much, have great house manners, and even handle bath time like a pro. I’m looking for a calm, adult-only home with someone who understands dog behavior and is committed to continuing the positive reinforcement training I’ve already started. I can be protective of my people, especially on leash or when strangers visit, so a quieter home without frequent guests is ideal.

A fenced-in yard would be the dream — that’s where I shine with my favorite games and zoomies. I do best as the only pet in the home.

HOW AM I WITH DOGS:
Dog-selective. I prefer to be your one-and-only but may be OK with the right calm, non-reactive match. FOHA can discuss this further.

HOW AM I WITH CATS:
No cats, please.

HOW AM I WITH KIDS:
No kids — I’m looking for an adult-only home where I can feel safe and understood.

I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS:
I know my name, “sit,” and “catch” — and I’m eager to keep learning!

MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING:
I have great house manners and am calm indoors. I don’t bark much, and I’ll patiently keep you company in the kitchen.

THINGS I LIKE:
Fetch, jolly balls, leash walks, a quiet home, affection from people I know and trust, and relaxing near my favorite humans.

THINGS I DISLIKE:
Strangers entering my space, busy homes, and cats.
