My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Elliott was super scared when he first arrived. The first month was hiding but he is a different cat now! He is not super cuddly but he likes to hang out where you are and will occasionally lay in your lap. Elliott is rarely vocal. If he is is letting you know he needs something...food usually! LOL He's a sweet boy and his favorite pass time is bug hunting!

I'm sure he will regress a bit when adopted but with patience and love he will quickly get back to how he is now Elliott uses the litter box and is a good eater. We've really had no issues with him!

$150 adoption fee. He is neutered, chipped, vaccines up to date and dewormed. We accept venmo, cash, checks, credit cards.

Applications must be received before meets are set up. If you rent, please be ready to provide proof you are allowed to have a pet.

We do not EVER ship dogs or cats.

To apply please go to www.mainstreetmuttrescue.com and click on Adopt. If you click picture the application button should come up.

Additional adoption info

Our process starts with a person finding a dog they are interested in and filling out an application on our website.. Once approved we will work with you to find the dog of your choice or set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in. We will work hard to get the right fit with your family and set you up for success! Once you have found the dog we then can either foster with potential to adopt or just adopt depending on the situation. No pet is final adopted until they are fixed. Our requirements are over 21, and have a legitimate income. We evaluate each family and dog based on their individual situations so please don't be afraid to talk to us..

Go meet their pets

We are foster based so please contact us to arrange meeting any of our animals. Our dogs are spread out around the area in foster homes to help them relax, help us evaluate where they are in behaviors and to get them used to living in a home if they've not before.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue that was founded after saving one dog. We bring most of our dogs from high kill shelters in other states, vet them, get the spayed or neutered and ready for adoption. We do this because we love dogs and we are not happy with the fact that so many healthy dogs are being killed. We can't change the world but we can change the life of some of these poor dogs!!
