My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max Boy is a 16 lbs. 1.5 year old cutie.
He loves to play, run and jump. He does not walk anywhere in the house he runs. High energy to say the least. He's kind of goofy! He has started to lay down in between his runs for a rest. He enjoys biting at the other pups tails and ears even after warnings (growls). I will say he has gotten better about bothering the other pups - YEAH!
He has started enjoying sitting on my lap and now gives kisses. We are working on going potty outside, some days are better than others but he's learning.
He loves his nylabones and stealing toys from the others. Loves to play chase with my larger dog. He LOVES to eat and will sit to get his treats! He gets very excited at meal-time. I do feed him separately because he enjoys helping the others eat and that could cause issues. He does not like cats.

He is fully vetted, neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is good with other dogs. We do not know how he is with cats or children. Older, well mannered, children who know how to respect a dog would probably be ok.

Max Boy's adoption fee is: $100.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
