Edy was happily living in her beautiful tropical backyard paradise with her long-time friend Amos when suddenly her caretaker became ill and passed away, without any plan for Edy's welfare. With the property being sold, the cats were unwanted and in danger. Edy and Amos were rescued from being "removed" to be indoor cats; can their loving forever home be with you?
Edy is a gentle darling sweetheart; she likes to have her say about whatever is happening with her sweet endearing chirps. She loves to be held and petted, and will let you know how much she loves your attention with her sing song responses. She enjoys her mid-day nap in the sun in the window and watching cat TV outside in between snoozes. Edy loves to sleep cuddled up with her friends; she is very easy-going, and will easily get along with other cats. Edy is curious and wants to follow you around to see what you are doing, chirping her opinions the whole time!
Edy the curious alert extrovert will soak up your love, affection and attention then return it to you x10. Edy is ready to show her love and appreciation with her head bumps and rubs.
Edy and Amos are good friends, like "The Odd Couple", Oscar and Felix, they complement and cat-support each other on their new adventure to their loving forever home. They would love to be adopted together!
Adoption fee for this cat includes FVRCP vaccine, FIV/FELV testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. We have a quick but thorough adoption process. We ask you to fill out an application and we will touch base with you by phone. If we feel you are a good fit for the animal you would like to adopt based upon your application, we will want to do a home visit and have you meet the pet. If everything checks out, we will ask that you sign an adoption contract and pay a donation - usually $75 for cats and $150 for dogs. This includes all vetting, spay/neuter, vaccines, etc.
Our contract allows us to come visit you and your new family member after the adoption to make sure everything is going well and your new pet is happy & healthy.

Good Karma Pet Rescue is a small network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and help they need and deserve.
GK was started in 2011 by Stacey Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for best care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family.
GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area. If you are interested in helping to save lives through volunteering, fostering, or adopting, please get in touch with us!
