My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cutie Pie, a cat who truly lives up to her name! Her personality is as sweet as sugar, and she has a gentle, shy nature that's just waiting to blossom in a loving home. Cutie Pie is a cuddly companion who enjoys quiet moments and the simple pleasures of life. She hasn't been around too many other pets or children, but with her friendly demeanor, we have a feeling she would do well with them. At 8 years old, she's ready to spend her senior years by your side! By adopting Cutie Pie, you're not just getting a pet - you're gaining a loyal friend who will cherish every moment spent with you.

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
