Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bring Home the Best Kind of Pillow—The Kind That Loves You Back
Pillow is a sweet, silly soul who has been waiting a long time for someone to see just how special he is. He’s smart, attentive, and deeply people-oriented — the kind of dog who listens closely, tries hard, and wants nothing more than to share his days with someone who cares. During his breaks from the shelter, he’s proven to be an exceptional house guest: calm, respectful, and happy to curl up nearby just to be part of your world.
He loves the simple joys of being a dog — fetch in the yard, sniffy walks, squeaky toys, and showing off tricks for treats (cheese is his weakness). After a bit of play, he’s all about belly rubs and quiet cuddle time. Pillow thrives on routine and blossoms when he knows what to expect, and he’s making wonderful progress in APA’s Top Dog program. He walks well on leash, is house-trained, and gets easier to handle every day.
Pillow would do best in an adult-only home or one with older teens who understand his need for structure and gentle guidance. He has so much love to give, and he’s ready for a home where he can finally settle in, exhale, and feel like he belongs.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, a silly streak, and a deep desire to bond with his people, Pillow might be the perfect match you’ve been searching for. Pillow absolutely shines in a home where he can feel secure, follow a predictable routine, and be part of the family. He’s been a perfect gentleman on his shelter breaks and sleepovers — calm, polite, and an excellent house guest.
