Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sicily — The Girl with the Permanent Wink!
Breed: Chocolate Lab Mix • Age: Mature Lady • Weight: 65 lbs
House-trained • Crate-trained • Prefers adult or with mature teens home
Sicily is a gentle, quirky senior girl who has been truly blooming in foster care. With patient guidance and weekly training sessions, she’s made impressive progress. She went from being unsure about leaving the house to confidently walking her neighborhood, exploring new sights, and even opening up to unfamiliar people much faster than before. She loves learning and proudly practices confidence-building skills like “place” on a small platform.
At home, Sicily is calm, affectionate, and loves finding cozy nooks—blankets, couches, corners—where she can settle in for a nap. She thrives with predictable routines and a peaceful environment, and once she trusts you, her sweet and lively personality shines through. Her foster mom describes her as loyal, expressive, and incredibly endearing.
Sicily prefers an adults or mature teenagers home where life moves at an easy pace. She could potentially live with a calm, respectful dog, but she would also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only companion.
If you enjoy slow neighborhood strolls, quiet evenings, and the joy of watching a dog gain confidence day by day, Sicily may be your perfect match.
Come meet the girl with the permanent wink and the steadily growing heart.
