Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Nitro’s Heart Is Ready for Home — Could You Be His Fresh Start?
Nitro has spent so much time watching other dogs get chosen — watching them walk out the door with the families who will change their lives — and he’s still waiting for his turn. This affectionate, charismatic, adventure-loving boy has so much love stored up, and all he needs is someone to give him the chance to share it.
Volunteers can’t say enough good things about him. They talk about how fun he is on walks, how he lights up on the trail, and how incredibly affectionate he becomes once he knows you. “To know Nitro is to love Nitro,” they say — and they mean it. He’s the kind of dog who leans in for connection, who melts under gentle affection, who just wants to belong.
Nitro is a blend of charm, goofiness, and heart. He loves tug, fetch, and exploring the world, and he’s just as happy settling in for cuddles with someone he trusts. Outdoors he’s an adventurer; indoors he’s a loyal, soft-hearted companion who wants nothing more than to share space with his people.
What Nitro needs most right now is a break from shelter life — a foster or adopter who will give him a place to exhale, feel safe, and be loved the way he’s always deserved. He’s waited long enough. If you have a little space in your home and a lot of space in your heart, Nitro is ready to fill it with love, gratitude, and the best kind of companionship.
His time is now — and he’s hoping you’re the one who sees him.
