My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zeus wants to zoom into your heart at lightning speed! Zeus' favorite activities include: snuggling on the couch, playing fetch with tennis balls, and sunbathing. He especially enjoys going on walks, and is often accompanied by one of his stuffed toys. It's the cutest! He LOVES getting pets and particularly enjoys ear scratches. He will often let you know he's not done receiving pets by leaning his head into you or gently placing a paw on your arm and he will reward you with kisses. Zeus is equal parts goofy and loyal, and so deserving of a forever home.

Zeus is a very smart dog who learns quickly and adjusts to new situations. It also helps that he is very treat motivated. Zeus currently knows "sit", "stay", "shake", and "get your fish", (his fish is any stuffed toy he brought along on a walk). He is currently working on "lay down", and "high-five". He knows to patiently wait while you serve his food, and will only move once released. He is perfectly house trained respectful roaming inside the home alone, or does well crated if you'd prefer. Zeus does not chew or scratch up furniture and he is not a barker. Zeus is a mellow dog most of the time. A daily walk is usually all that's needed to curb his energy.

Zeus attends playgroup at the shelter and might do well living with another well-matched pup. Zeus would thrive with patient humans who can give him time and guidance adjusting to new surroundings and friends. With a bit of time and work (and plenty of treats!), Zeus can be encouraged to make friends with new people. Once you win Zeus over, you'll have a loyal and loving pup. Add Zeus to your Pantheon!
