This handsome boy is Rodger! He’s a big cuddle bug who craves love and attention. He has such a fun personality; and everyone he meets absolutely adores him! He loves things like baths and car rides, but his favorite thing of all is running and playing with other dogs, so he would do best in a home with at least one other dog. Rodger is cat friendly, but does get anxious around babies and children, so for this reason he should be in a child-free home. He’s also a bit timid around men, so a slow introduction to a male is recommended. He is house and crate trained, neutered, updated on all vaccines, heart worm negative, and is likely around 3 years old. The only thing this boy still needs is a loving home to call his own ♥️ He will make the perfect companion for the right family!

More about this rescue
ACT Now! Rescue is an all volunteer, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) no kill dog rescue and animal welfare organization serving St. Louis County, Jefferson County, St. Charles, Warren and Franklin County in Missouri. We operate through a foster network and work with local shelters, as well as take in stray and abandoned animals. As an organization, we strongly oppose puppy mills and breeding programs and emphasize education and a vigorous spay/neuter program in order to reduce problems of overpopulation.
We started full operations in September 2006. There are many exciting opportunities to join the group and help further the causes of dog and cat welfare in this region. We are currently looking for generous people willing to share their homes and serve as foster parents for the animals we take in as well as volunteers to serve is almost every other area of the operation.
