My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hayley was found as a stray in Speedway. She is approximately 2 years old and 53 lbs. She is the epitome of an American Staffordshire Terrier: loving, full of live, playful, obsessed with humans, affectionate, and STRONG. She loves to be outside and go for walks, and would make a great hiking or running partner. She needs an adopter with breed experience who is also willing to put in a little bit of training. She would do best in a home without small children, as her size and energy could easily knock over a little one. She has not been tested with cats.

Hayley is crate and potty trained, and is also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention.

Additional adoption info

All of our dogs and cats are fully vetted prior to adoption - spayed/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated and tested for heartworm (dogs) or FIV/FeLV (cats).

To adopt an animal from us, you will be required to complete an adoption application. When your completed application is returned to us, we will conduct a criminal background check, verify home ownership or landlord permission, check with any veterinary references and conduct a home check. Then pay adoption fee.

Please note that our adoption contract for cats has a NO DECLAW clause.

More about this rescue

We are a small non-profit rescue focused on the 4.77 square mile town of Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Our goal is to make Speedway a no-kill town where every animal is spayed/neutered, microchipped and properly cared for. We rescue all animals taken to the town's Animal Control facility. We assist owners in need with veterinary care and food/supplies. We help trap-neuter-release feral cat colonies and socialize/adopt kittens under 3 months old.

Due to limited resources, we are unable to accept animals from outside the town's boundaries at this time.
