I am very cautious around folks I do not know. I will hide.
Just know that it may take me longer to warm up to you so......I need your patience, time and effort to help me with my behavior. My prior Mum who had me for four years said it took me about 4 - 5 months. She was so patient with me as well as Tux (adopt us together).
I originally came from a local shelter - when I was not getting any attention (because of hiding), I was transferred to CRI - Pet Adoption Center at Greenbrier PetSmart. I was there for about 3 or 4 weeks in 2019, and then my new Mum came and she adopted me.
Sadly, after four years, she had to return me due to a change in her living arrangements. She is moving in with a son and his family....and some of the members are allergic to cats. She was so sad. I was so sad...Mum spoiled me and Tux...we had such a loving home...we were her therapists and best friends. I arrived to the pet center on 24 September 2023.
Mum brought my luggage with me so that conveys with my adoption. I have a kennel, lots of blankets and pillows, furniture covers, one very large cat tree, a self cleaning litter pan and its filters, a water fountain...well, you get the idea.
I do not LIKE dogs...kids are okay if they are quiet...I do not like loud noises or fast movements....I will hide....and I am good at hiding if I am scared. I like older cats...not a fan of kittens.
I know...I have a sorted background, but I am seeking a home as I approach my senior years.
Because I was so stressed, I have a Rx food RC Calm dry food which I eat. I love temptation treats and wet food.
Then after four weeks, my new MUM adopted me and Tux on 22 October 2023. We had a great life with her, but then suddenly, she became ill and was hospitalized. We both were returned on 24 November 2023 because my MUM was really really sick.
Come and visit me on the weekends during playtime at the Chesapeake PetSmart Store, Pet Adoption Center on Greenbrier Parkway:
Saturday, 1100 - 1700
Sunday, 1200 - 1630
Plus, you can always visit me any time the store is open Monday - Friday and call the contact number on my cage card to meet me.
