August weighs about 110 lbs and comes from an accidental litter in Kentucky. His mom is a full Great Dane, and his dad is a blue heeler and German Shepard dog. He is three years old.
August is very intelligent, highly trainable, and eager to please. He loves to learn new tricks and attend dog classes, and he has passed 5 of them! August is still young and energetic and would be happiest in a home with lots of space to run around, although he is well-behaved in the house and may do well with another large dog.
August loves to snuggle and be around his humans. He doesn't really counter-surf, chew things that don't belong to him, or get into things. He enjoys his Kong, squeak toys, silicone toys, and shredding stuffed animals. August is great with our children, but he can be overzealous with new people or animals, so it's important for him to continue receiving proper training and socialization. We have successfully dog-sat other dogs and have play dates with a neighbor's dog.
