Darlene is a energetic ball of fun eager to bust free of shelter life. She has liked each dog she meets and would be good with kids although she is quite jumpy so she would need corrected on that for smaller children. Her adoption fee has been reduced as well!

Our adoption fees range from $35-$125, which includes a microchip. If the dog/cat is not vaccinated or spayed/neutered before adoption, you have 30 days to set appointment and return paperwork to WCHS. We also require a copy of your drivers license to attach to your adoption file.

We are 1 of 3 Humane Society AND Animal Control facilities in the state of Illinois. We are a private organization that is contracted with our county and several localities within our county to provide animal control services. We have 2 full time employees and 2 part time employees that care for our furry friends daily.
