My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Biscuit is a Domestic Short Hair (DSH)-mix, female, DOB: 4/26/23.

Sweet and adorable as well as captivating with that wide-eyed innocent face, Biscuit is a delightfully charming young cat who is friendly, social, and pretty confident too. An affectionate and endearing young cuddle-bug, she’ll be looking for opportunities to give and receive loving-attention, and she enjoys some cuddling in the arms of those she knows and trusts - of course only after some interactive playtime and independent exploring. But when the dust bunnies are slain and toy mice are defeated, she'll be looking to settle down with her favorite people.

Armed with a purr motor ready to go at a moment's notice, upbeat, easy-to-please, mischievous, lively, adventurous, curious, and simply adoring and adorable – Biscuit, above all else, is a people oriented feline looking to light up the lives of her new family members when they welcome her into her forever home where she will live the rest of her days as a very much-loved and pampered pet and companion.

Biscuit, along with littermates, Pretzel, Strudel, & Bagel and their mom, Granola, came to Monroe SPCA as strays needing critical care - all 5 cats were covered in fleas, infested with ear mites, dehydrated, and emaciated. They immediately went into an emergency Monroe SPCA foster home, where they began treatment for parasites and finally found some rest and reprieve. Unfortunately soon after rescue, Granola suddenly passed. It was pretty clear she put her everything into keeping her kittens alive, as she was the most emaciated of the group. While with Monroe SPCA the kittens were also treated for URI, Giardia, Coccidia, Tapeworm, and Roundworm.

And survive they did - all four cats now happy, healthy, and looking for their forever homes with families who can give them the time and attention a young cats needs. Although Biscuit can be adopted individually, we recommend a pairing with several of our other young cats having compatible personalities and temperament.

Biscuit is best suited as an indoor pet and companion for a home with a calm, low-active to moderately active lifestyle and no active young children under the age of six (6). She is comfortable with other compatible cats and kittens, and she’ll be comfortable in the presence of well-mannered, cat-friendly dogs after being given some adjustment time to warm-up and settle into her new surroundings. As with all Monroe SPCA adoptable animals, a home visit and a meet-n-greet with any housemate pets will be required prior to adoption.

Biscuit currently resides at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store. You can meet her by appointment with pre-approved adoption application. To start the adoption process, complete and submit Monroe SPCA’s adoption application linked above.

All Monroe SPCA cats available for adoption have an adoption fee of $85.00. This fee includes the cat being spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, tested for FeLV and FIV, and microchipped with lifelong registration prior to adoption.

Completed applications can be emailed to info@monroespca.org or dropped off at Monroe SPCA’s Adoption Center and Retail Store located at 293 W. Monroe Street, Dundee, MI.
