My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a very affectionate and well-mannered dog, Daryl may be perfect for you. He is also a handsome boy, a striking fawn with large, dark eyes and really cut, fold forward ears. He has the kindest, gentlest temperment and has all the great qualities that make greyhounds such super pets. Daryl has been in a home as a pet, so he is already completely house trained and home acclimated. He walks quietly by your side while on a leash and rides fine in a car or SUV. He gets along with other dogs and is also cat friendly. He loves to be with people and is a real "velcro" dog that just wants to be by your side and please you. He is so gentle that we believe Daryl would do well with children. He would also be a great therapy dog to take to hospitals and nursing homes. Daryl is a little smaller than most male greyhounds at just 67 lbs. His racing career was over when he sufered a break to his right rear leg. His leg has been surgically repaired and he can now use it quite well. He will always have a slight limp. We recommend that Daryl be given a glucosamine supplement to prevent any arthritis that may develop at the site of his injury. Daryl's $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, microchip, Bordatella (to prevent kennel cough), leash and collar, grooming glove, stuffie toy, adoption guide, an Adopt-a-Greyhound tote bag, and a 2-month supply of glucosamine.
