My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Prince, a/k/a Prince Harry, is as sweet as he is handsome!  This handsome ginger cat is the best buddy and sidekick to his gray tabby brother Toby.  They complement each other perfectly.  Prince is calm, relaxing and the Prince of Cuddles with his people.  He loves to hang out with his foster mom when she is working at home. Toby is a bit bolder, loves to explore, and is the first to start the kitten-play and antics that will make you laugh out loud. And when these two are done playing and entertaining you they always curl up together for a nap.

Check out the VIDEO link, below, to see the boys at play.

These handsome brothers are inseparable and must be adopted together.

Prince and Toby were born to a feral mama cat and their early days on the street they lived on the porch of a kind person, who put a warm bed in a cardboard box for mama cat and her kittens.  The ginger-cat Prince and his brother Toby seemed immediately delighted with the upgrade in their accommodations when we trapped them and moved them to a foster home. Toby and Prince are ready to shower affection and fun on a furr-ever home.  Maybe with you?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Potential Adopters fill out an adoption profile and application to help ensure that the cat or kittens they are applying for is/are a good match for their household. This is followed by an interview (phone or in person). All of our cats are in foster homes, so we know their personalities very well and can help you make a great match for everyone in your home.

If there are other pets in the household we provide assistance in introducing the new cat(s). We have lots of experience with multiple cat households, and we will work with you to make sure that everyone gets along and is happy. Cats or kittens can be returned to us within two weeks if they do not fit into your family or household.

Our contract specifically prohibits declawing and requires that if the new owner find that scratching is a problem, they return the cat to us rather than declaw.

Our adoption fees are $100 for a kitten (or $175 for two kittens)and $50 for adult cats (over 12 months old), all of whom are spay/neutered, micro-chipped, immunized, treated for fleas and worms and given any required veterinary treatment before adoption. The value of these treatments is several times the adoption fee!

More about this rescue

Community Cat Rescue was formed to improve the lives of homeless cats through adoption, promotion of spaying/neutering, TNR and colony management and educational outreach to the public. We are a group of experienced rescue and TNR volunteers who have developed a network of foster homes for rescued street cats, and a regular program of outreach for adoption and education at local farmers markets, public events and at pet stores and shopping areas. We host a minimum of 3 outreach events per month, and often as many as 6 events. In addition to adopting out cats as family pets, we also have an active TNR program, including relocation of feral cats as "working cats" to appropriate homes if they are not safe in their original territory.
