My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Redd!

Redd came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after being consistently overlooked. During his long-term stay there, he quickly became a staff favorite pup and we can see why! He's very people-oriented and loves all the extra attention his smiles attract! He's happy to give you little kisses and nuzzles as greetings. This handsome, smart boy would do best in an active home, especially with a buddy his size to play with! Redd would prefer to have someone at home with him throughout the day who is also willing to continue his training and socialization. He has done well with cats, but will need to be introduced slowly over time to ensure both pets are comfortable! The staff at HRAS say he has come a long way since they first met, from being shy to a confident, more active pup!

Pre-registration for general obedience classes is a requirement for adoption. Adult adopters or families with kids over age 15 are preferred.

Redd is currently in foster care. Meet and greets can be arranged once your online application has been approved. Visit www.animalfriendsrescue.org for our online dog application.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
