My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Located in Houston, TX. Available for transport***
Skipper is a very sweet 18 month old Chiweenie. He was found as a stray in Houston. He crawled into a parked car that the foster had just opened. He was exhausted, hungry and over heated. Unfortunately no one answered the found ad so he is looking for a forever home. He loves his foster family and is very affectionate. He can be playful and lovers to do zoomies. He is heartworm negative, neutered and up to date on vaccines. If you would like to learn more about him please email westhoustonanimalrescue@yahoo.com.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fee is $450 to fly your dog to the nearest airport that (1) has a direct flight from Houston, TX and (2) can accommodate the size travel crate your dog would fly in. If there is no direct flight, then we do have to schedule flights with layovers. We only use United Airlines because of their PetSafe Program. They are the only airline equipped to fly dogs in year-round weather conditions. The dogs get the same air and heat as in the passenger cabin.

More about this rescue

We rescue dogs from the streets of Houston, TX, vet them, recuperate them from health problems, bring them to full health and then work very hard to get them adopted out-of-state. Houston, TX has over ONE MILLION stray dogs. Thousands of perfectly healthy dogs, along with sick and dying dogs that are picked up, are euthanized every single day. Houston, TX is saturated with dogs. Everyone who WANTS a dog HAS a dog. We can only save lives by getting dogs out of our region. We have found the very best adopters in the Northeast and Northwest U. S. and Canada.
