Cupid is an adorable neutered male grey and white Domestic Shorthair cat. He is currently in foster care, and is available for adoption! If you are looking for a sweet, lovable and fun kitten, pick Cupid! Cupid was diagnosed as having a seizure disorder when he was a young kitten. As a result, he has to take daily medication which he takes in pill pockets. Luckily, he seldom has seizures now, but will need someone willing to keep up with his medication and vet visits. He has some vision and hearing loss from the seizures, but he gets around well and loves chasing those invisible rainbows and unicorns. Sometimes when he is playing hard, he gives little bites, so a home with no small children would be best. He adores other cats and dogs and would love to have a furry friend to play with. He loves to snuggle up in the hammock for a nap with his foster dad and would be a wonderful companion for someone who works from home. He is currently working on leash training too! All our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, and fully vetted. We have an adoption center in Harrisonburg, but we also make extensive use of foster homes until adoption.
We generally prefer indoor only homes, and our contract specifies that the cat(s) will not be de-clawed.
We have some cats that cannot be adopted into an indoor situation. For these, we seek safe barn or out-building locations.

Founded in 1998, Cat’s Cradle seeks to end euthanasia of healthy adoptable cats and dogs in Shenandoah Valley through aggressive spay/neuter of owned animals and TNR (trap/neuter/release) of feral cats.
We also have a network of foster parents and an active adoption program for cats. In 2009 we opened an adoption center in Harrisonburg. We do not euthanize for space.
