Freeway is the silliest, most loving and attentive friend you could ever have! She adores all people, long walks, chew bones, and toys. She beams with delight riding in the car to get a pup cup. This beauty queen is also the perfect hiking partner and afterward will save you a spot on the couch for cuddles. Freeway is about 40 pounds, house/crate trained. She's best with male dogs or as your solo in the home simply because of her herding tendencies. However she does like to run around with other active dogs. Being deaf, she responds to several hand signals, so sign her up! Freeway's hearing loss doesn't define her. She offers unwavering companionship like any other!

Two by Two Rescue requires that you be at least 21 years of age and sign an adoption contract. If you have pets, they must be up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered, and on heartworm preventative. A vet reference ( if you have pets) is required. If interested in giving one of our pets a permanent home, please take the first step by completing an adoption application

More about this rescue

Two by Two Rescue began in 2002 when two ladies met and began feeding strays in Old Town Helena, Alabama. The rescue has grown to a 501 C (3) volunteer, no-kill organization. Our goal is to save the lives of abandoned, unwanted, and abused animals, and educate the public about responsible pet care. We care for these rescues in private foster homes. Our animals are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped regardless of breed, age, or medical cost. We receive no state funding or government assistance. We survive by the donations of caring people, fund raising, and adoption fees.
