My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Home - Dogue De Bordeaux

In  late January Thelma’s family asked for help when she and her sister Dogue de Bordeaux  were not getting along. Thelma had no training and we suspect that and a lack of structure added to the problem with Thelma and her sister.Thelma is doing great and is ready for her furever home!  She has responded very well to the training and structure she has received in her foster home.   She can now walk on leash and she gets along fantastic with the male Doberman in her foster home.  Any potential home for Thelma should continue training with her.  When out and about she will definitely pull if she eyes other dogs, cats, birds, squirrels etc.  Her new person will need to provide her with consistent handling while on walks.

Thelma’s new home will need  a secure fenced yard where she can get plenty of exercise.  No apartment complexes or urban environment.  Thelma loves her people so be ready to give her the attention she loves and deserves. Homes with a male dog of similar size will be considered.  No children under the age of 14 years.

All rescues in the care of  Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro chipped before being placed into their adoptive home. Completed application, vet reference and a home check required. Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue does NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional information email us.
