My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Home - Dogue De Bordeaux

Three year old Manji is ready for his forever family. Manji likes belly rubs, chewing antlers, being kissed on the cheek, car rides and drinking out of the hose. He is crate trained. He has been working on his leash manners but does still pull. His foster family adores him and would love to adopt him but they have a male Dogue de Bordeaux and the two do not always get along. Manji does not do well with small dogs, he could be placed with a female dog simalar in size. Cats are unknown.  He may be placed in a home with children six and over.
Manji was likely mistreated prior to coming into our care. Certain movments of adults casue him to cower and scamper away. When he first arrived he was afraid of the dark and he would bark and bark if left alone overnight. A member of his foster family slept on the floor next to him for weeks until he felt safe, now he rarley barks. Manji has gained a great deal of confindence living with a loving family.

While in our care Manji had a benign melanocytoma removed from his face and blepharoplasty surgery on both eyes to correct entropion (eye lids rolling in) and macroblepharon (to place the lids in normal position). He has completly recovered and needs no further care.

All rescues in the care of  Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and micro chipped before being placed into their adoptive home. Completed application, vet reference and a home check required. Dogue de Bordeaux Rescue does NOT ship or fly rescues as it’s too stressful on them. For additional information email us.
