My story

Their adoption process

Our adoption process is designed to help you and your family find the perfect match in a pet. When the right match is made, we strive to conduct our adoptions thoughtfully, transparently, and with the utmost respect. You can view and submit an adoption questionnaire online ahead of your visit by going to our website: humaneanimalpartners.org. A questionnaire is not required to come visit us, but we will have you fill one out if interested in meeting with our animals. We strive to make the best match possible for you and for the animals. Most of our pets can go home same-day and come vaccinated, spay/neutered, and microchipped.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. It all starts with a visit to our Stanton shelter. Check out our animals and our staff can give you all the guidance you need.
  2. Submit Application
    1. The questionnaire will help us learn more about you so that we can help match you with the perfect pet.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. Meet & Greet! We strongly prefer all members of your household to be present at the meet-and-greet.
  4. Approve Application
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
  6. Pay Fee
  7. Take the Pet Home
