My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Polly—our seven-year-old cattle dog mix, longest-standing resident, and undisputed staff favorite. If loyalty were an Olympic sport, Polly would already have the gold. She adores her people and will greet you like it’s the best reunion of your life every single time you come home.

Polly is house-trained, incredibly smart, and lives for toys—especially when they come with a challenge. She’s the type who will absolutely invent her own fun if bored, so a home that enjoys enrichment, puzzles, and keeping a clever mind busy will be her dream match. Polly can take a little time to warm up to new people, but once you’re in her circle, you’re in for life.

She’s selective about her dog friends and prefers some space from other dogs on walks, and she’s not a fan of having her prized possessions taken away (can you blame her?). With the right home that understands her quirks and celebrates her brilliance, Polly will reward you with endless devotion, laughs, and love.

Additional adoption info

All adopters will need to participate in a "get to know you" survey and short counseling session to ensure we are making a successful match for the adopter and the animal. Our animals are allowed to go home on the same day in most cases.
