Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Helen is amazing! She is a special horse who just feels wonderful to be with. She was born blind in one eye and gradually lost sight in the other one. Because her sight loss was gradual, she learned to tilt her head in order to see out of part of her lens and has retained that charming tilt to this day. Even though she's blind, she has still enjoys regular walks with our volunteers and has successfully lived with lots of other horses. She can easily memorize her environment and navigates her pasture well. She has some congenital problems with some of her molars and can't eat hay like most horses do. She eats a "mush" diet - soaked hay pellets 3-4 times per day, depending on warm or colder weather. She could be adopted to the right circumstance and if it was someone close by. If you think you would love to have someone as amazing as Helen in your life, contact us to set up a phone call or come meet her in person to get the full Helen effect!
