Little Sam came from the Lancaster shelter where he was in danger of being put down due to space. He has a heart murmur and wasn't neutered at the shelter there for that reason and also not adopted by people. We could not let him die in the shelter and rescued him and had him neutered with no problem. He is a little shy at first, but very very sweet and affectionate once he trusts. He is mellow and quiet and good on a leash and car rides and will make a wonderful friend and addition to a family. Sam gets along with all the dogs here, but can get a little annoyed with a dog that is too energetic for his liking.
He is about 4 years old, weighs 11 pounds, is vaccinated and microchipped and ready for his new forever home.

If you have found a pet of your liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
We require a potential adopter to fill out an application.
If the application is satisfactory we will contact you to set up a time to meet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks good and goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract.
We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to fight for the plight of all companion animals so that none of them will ever
have to experience the horrors of being imprisoned in a pound system, where most of them are executed for the “crime” of being unwanted and homeless.
Animals entering our sanctuary will be given exceptional loving care and all the necessary medical attention whether short term, until adopted or for their lifetimes.
The survival of the sanctuary depends entirely on the support and donations from supporters, members and volunteers.
