My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Isabell (pawparent@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.

Sansa was a stray on the streets of Lancaster and brought to the Lancaster shelter with a terribly matted coat. Poor guy must have been in so much discomfort. The shelter staff bathed and groomed him, but nobody wanted to adopt him so Paw Parent welcomed him. He is very happy here and gets along great with all the dogs. He is afraid when we try to put a leash on him, he must have had bad experiences from living on the streets.
He is very quiet and mellow and does not cause any trouble. He is around 8 years old and weighs 15 pounds. He would make a fabulous companion to any family.
He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and ready for his new forever home. Could it be yours?
Please call 661-724-0642 or email us at pawparent@gmail.com if you would like to meet him.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you have found a pet of your liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
We require a potential adopter to fill out an application.
If the application is satisfactory we will contact you to set up a time to meet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks good and goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract.
We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.

More about this rescue

Our goal is to fight for the plight of all companion animals so that none of them will ever
have to experience the horrors of being imprisoned in a pound system, where most of them are executed for the “crime” of being unwanted and homeless.
Animals entering our sanctuary will be given exceptional loving care and all the necessary medical attention whether short term, until adopted or for their lifetimes.
The survival of the sanctuary depends entirely on the support and donations from supporters, members and volunteers.
Through your generous giving we will be able to save countless lives in the future.
