Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Alberto!
Hello, my name is Alberto. I am a handsome, more shy little guy just looking for a pal who will understand that it might take me a bit to warm up. Now that I'm a senior dude and I lost my human, my whole world has been turned upside down, so it's no wonder I'll need your patience for just a bit. I weigh about 13 pounds and need to lose a bit of weight. I'm really good with other dogs and cats, and I even do well with kiddos, though a more quiet home would be best for me. I do my pottying outside, and I'm used to a fenced-in yard to do my business. Leashes confuse me a little, but with a little dedication from my new human, I could definitely use one.
I came into rescue with my brother (Tofu), and though it would be super cool if we got adopted together, we would be perfectly okay if we were separated. Foster mom says I haven't got a mean bone in my body, and I can be picked up and held. Please just know that if I'm unsure about a human and they chase me, I will run from them. Once I know you, I am a super sweet, affectionate lap dog! I know there has to be someone out there willing to give me a chance to show them what a wonderful boy I can be! Maybe you have a soft spot in your heart and home for a dog (or two. Remember, I could live with my brother) like me to land?
