Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tofu!
Hello, my name is Tofu, and I'm a handsome senior gent just looking for my forever home. I'm hefty 15 pounds for a little Chihuahua, and I could really stand to lose a couple, errrr few pounds. I came into rescue with my brother (Alberto) after we lost our human, and though we aren't bonded, we could always be adopted together. I'm great with other dogs, too, and even cats. I wouldn't mind living with kiddos who understand that I'm a little skittish around new humans and will run if approached too quickly. I'd much rather prefer being in control of our bonding process. I go potty outside, and I'm used to being in a fenced-in yard. If my new people had time and patience with me, I could learn to use a leash, but right now, they are pretty foreign objects to me.
Once I get to know my new humans, I will become a lap loving, affectionate, sweet little dude! I don't have a mean bone in my body and will allow you to pick me up. I also don't mind car rides, and the friendly people at the vet's office love me! I'd love to find my forever people that will show me love and patience and understanding, and provide me with a soft landing pad for all of my days. I promise to show you my devotion to you and gratefulness! Are you ready to open your heart to a little guy (or two, remember, Alberto) who just needs a dedicated person to feel comfy with?
