My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nova is a beautiful Terrier mix who is approximately 2 years old and weighs 24 pounds. We rescued her from the Weslaco shelter in south Texas near the border of Mexico. This sweet girl was so scared in the shelter but as she has settled in here with us, her wonderful personality is emerging.

Nova is a friendly, playful gal who loves everyone she meets. She has a blast romping and playing here at the rescue with the other dogs in her group. She also really enjoys her toys, the more the merrier! Nova is crate trained for her meals and for sleeping but would also be perfectly content to cuddle up with her people at night, too. We can really see her doing well in just about any family environment.

Nova is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. A meet and greet will be arranged with an approved application.

*Nova tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol.
